| Below are the highlights of the Account Manager job description: |
-Provides support to various members of the production team, so that it can effectively function as an entity to solicit, underwrite, market and ultimately bind coverage for individuals obtaining coverage in the Surplus Lines marketplace.
-Duties include binding authority underwriting of new and renewal business, on line company rating, and handling of new and renewal brokerage business. Duties also include preparation of policies for binding/invoicing and post sale account service.
We separate the job into 3 categories:
Service: Account Manager will handle all service inquiries. Account Manager will work directly with Retail Agents and Carrier representatives.
Renewals: Account Manager will handle all renewals for assigned renewal book(s). This includes solicitation, underwriting/quoting, handling carrier or ASL approval, sales negotiation, follow up, and preparation for binding/invoicing.
New Business: Account Manager will handle new business as directed by Producer(s) or management. Account manager will solicit, underwrite, handle carrier or ASL approval, quote, negotiate sales, follow up, and prepare new business for binding invoicing.
